I hope the guy who's considering going into debt to go to film school will read this thread. Ever since affordable equipment (cameras, editing software, etc) and the Internet came along, the film business has become fragmented. There's too much content out there. You're a need in a haystack...

Film school is for people who are wealthy, because 'making it' in the film business is a long shot -- Kind of like setting out to become a YouTube star or successful musician or painter. Get a real degree, then work on the film career on the side.

As it turns out, this information can be easily added by clicking on your title and then twirling down some fields that allow you to enter time stamps and chapter titles. So easy, yet obscured by Filmhub in their emails to me. Instead, they offered to create chapters/ad breaks for me for $50.00...

Has anyone ever created chapters/ad breaks for Filmhub delivery? How is this done? Is there a software program or can you create a simple text file?

YouTube has also recently tweeked their algorithms to favor big corporate content providers. It was much easier 10 - 20 years ago for a small guy to gain a subscriber base or to have a video go viral.

The people who are making money from donations on Patreon, Subscribestar, GiveSendGo, etc are putting out new videos daily or at least at least weekly.

Did Filmhub declare bankruptcy yet? Filmhub basically just puts your movie on Amazon and a couple of ghost town sites. So putting it up on Amazon Prime is basically all you need to do. Hopefully they don't eventually purge your title. What rocket science is filmspecific going to teach you...

1) Nobody buys DVD's. Nobody will ever find your website. Nobody will buy mugs or T-shirts either. 2) Just put it on Amazon Prime. Put it on YouTube after Amazon purges your title. All of the other sites are ghost towns. 3) Festivals are great..... for the people who collect entrance fee money.

Money. But there's a REASON you don't see advertisements for indie films. It's a waste. You'd be lucky to recoup 1 cent for every dollar spent. If you can't get any free mentions on TV, radio, print, and no viral buzz, then you're out of luck just like everyone else who makes indie films.

It shouldn't take a day or even hours because you upload black / blank video and at the lowest quality and small frame size. The audio is all you need as reference to ad your captions.
