1080p is close to 2K so 4k is over twice the resolution of 1080p HD.

Yeah working with time lapses shot at 4k are very demanding on your system, I haven't edited any RED footage before but I imagine editing even a short film in 4K would require a very good graphics card, processor and display.

Yeah there's no way I'd be loading it to my camera, I'm more excited to see how canon respond with future dslrs' if it is legit. I'm not really convinced it's legit though but can't wait to find out.

Apparently somebody has hacked the 550d/t2i to shoot 4K, will find out tomorrow (1st January) for sure if it's real or a hoax, interesting stuff. If true might force canon to bring to Market a 4k dslr faster than otherwise...

Scott pilgrim vs the world used a lot of nintendo sound effects and they had to get permission for those, think nintendo actually let them use their sounds for free though? But I'm guessing your not gonna be using game sound to the extent that film did so prob is a grey area.

It obvious you didn't plan anything lol, in the future you will have to put a lot more into the pre production. I think it could have been edited much better too. Most music videos are edited on the beat for a reason. That's my quick advice anyway.

I used this cam for 2 years in my first two years of university. It's a good camera, getting a bit dated now IMO. You can get some great looking footage with it though, pretty good low light. Definatly a great camera to learn on, make sure you set it up to manual for the best results :) .

What I do with the FCP suite which I believe will give you the best result is to export a QuickTime movie of your film, this serves as a master version. Import your master into compressor and drag the DVD preset that best suits your movie timescale (eg 90 minute for anything less than 90 mins)...

Lol pretty crazy stuff, I've had my 550d (t2i) out bear in the pouring rain when photographing fireworks, it got pretty soaked but works just as it did when new, this happened over a Month ago now. I wouldn't use it in the rain again, but yeah the 7d is a tank and the 550d is a car when it comes...

I'd just use an umbrella over the camera, but isn't the 7d heavily weather proofed? I've heard about people leaving them out over night for time-lapse and the camera freezing over and still working.

You most likely have the camera in automatic exposure mode, I'm not familiar with this camera but it should tell you in the instruction how to change to manual exposure if indeed this is the problem.

He's in his first yeah which would have started a month ago?, I doubt many on your course could make a brilliant movie yet, thats probably why your all at uni trying to learn the skills, pretty sad for you to come here to try and get other to laught at his work :/ .

If you have an iPad or iPhone there's a really good app called DSLR slate, makes it very very easy to sync audio, cheap aswell I paid about £2 ($3.50 around) it's designed for dslr. DP Philip Bloom recommends it too.
