Yeah, We shot in a reaal rush an other short scene today. It should be half decent, I also made a homebrew Dolly with my skateboard. So probably for the next movie, I will study one of my favorite action scenes, learn it inside out and make it mine.

After Effects. I used some stock muzzle flashes. My trick is to not be scared to make em big enough. Duplicate the original footage, and set it to additive. Once you've done that mask out parts of the body which will be lighten up by the gun flash. Once that's done, key-frame them to opacity...

Thanks for the feedback I'd like to know what I did well in this as well as what I didn't do so well. I've also just finished a half script half sketch sort of thing of our next one. We will be shooting tomorrow hopefully all of it, if not we will finish shooting next week, involving poker...

    Books on Filmmaking

A book costs 15bucks. Anyone can afford a book in theory, so I'd say the number of good reviews make it worth getting. You can't loose much out of it and if you don't like it, sell it second hand on amazon.

Hey guys, here is my first short I've made with my two brothers. We shot it last weekend, and although I had not yet found this forum or started reading anything about Filmmaking, I knew I had to just go and shoot it. We had no coverage, we just shot what we got, no script making it up as we...

How do you get your ideas on to paper?

I'd like to address the drinking solution on this thread. But before I do want to precise that I happily party my liver to helm, and that Alcohol does great things. And I'm not addressing this to anyone personally, and I tend to be a rather straightforward guy, so if you get the impression I'm...

    Newbie with questions.

Yeah I suppose it's my beginner lack of technique that makes it look not that great. Right now I'm like who the hell is Alcove. ANd yeah I've shot a quick 1min15 movie with my bros, but my older bro was tight on time, so we've got litterally no Coverage ( Not that I knew what coverage was...

Thanks Again. And the 100euro price range that I have, is pretty much because I want what I ask for Christmas to be in this price range. I could push it and ask for more like I have done previous years and like I'm sure my little brother will do, but my parents are trying to save money for us to...

    Newbie with questions.

Wow thanks a lot for the quick reply. It somehow makes sense. And yeah I agree that it's like with anything, the sneakers don't make the basketball player, just I'd rather wear some proper Nikes than flip-flops to play ball. So if you advise me to not get a mic for now, within the 100euro sort...

I've got an amateurish camcorder that I can use . It's nothing great but it'll have to do. I was set when...
