Yeah, shooting outdoor at night is pretty tough. A lot of your lighting options vary depending on your access to power sources.
But if you do have a power source, you could do with some work lights if you want to keep it cheap.
Either way make sure to lock your exposure so you don't add any...
I shoot a lot on my HV30. The sensor is tiny and you really need to throw a lot of light at it to not add gain. Outdoor stuff always looks great. For indoor stuff and low light, first lock your exposure using "cell phone light trick", which essentially tricks the camera into not adding gain...
Thanks for the reply. Yeah I wish we had some sort of stabilizer for a lot of the movement shots. That rubber band trick was pretty cool, I'll have to try it sometime.
The best thing we could do for the long tracking shots down and along the street was to use a cheap car pod and use the car...
Hey guys, just wanted to share our latest short called Chase. This was an idea I had for a short almost four years ago, it's pretty simple, just attempting to tackle a genre that we don't have too much experience with. Here's the poster.
And here's the short itself. Chase Youtube...
Yeah, I think we could have cut it shorter. What we had for coverage made it a little tough though. Thanks for taking the time to watch and give us some criticism.
Hey guys here's our newest short, it's called "Expletive Deleted" watch it and let me know what you think and if you understand the title. Thanks.
New Short - Expletive Deleted
FC, I have a bunch of shorts around that length as well and watching yours is what actually caused me to start this thread. Mine also have a continuous title structure that are quite similar. Here's a couple of examples.

So after watching quite a few shorts it got me thinking about extremely short form projects with a running time of about 1 min. I personally really enjoy seeing what can be done in such a short time frame. So I want to see what people have done within these time constraints.
I'll go first...
We took a few liberties and made it sort of a spoof off of Tarantino's series Kill Bill.
I hope you like it. Constructive criticism is always welcomed and encouraged.
Thanks for watching.

Thanks for watching. I appreciate the feedback and agree with a lot of what you said. Definitely will be taking it into consideration for our next one.
Hey guys, here is our newest short and first one with the ntg-2. We shot it with a HV30. Overall I'm very happy with the sound quality from the ntg-2, because this was our first time using it. Any comments or criticism would be great. Thanks.
