watch Short Film - Chase

Hey guys, just wanted to share our latest short called Chase. This was an idea I had for a short almost four years ago, it's pretty simple, just attempting to tackle a genre that we don't have too much experience with. Here's the poster.

And here's the short itself. Chase Youtube.

Thanks for watching and let me know what you think.

Very nice.

The off-tripod shots look pretty bad.
The long pan shot @ 1:46 to 1:53 could really benefit from this: http://www.indietalk.com/showthread.php?t=37549

The story got kinda repetitive boring at about a minute.
More than a change of scenery and setting would help.
An "almost got caught" and a "thought I lost him" moment would break it up.

EDIT:
Well, then it was a good exercise.
Yeah, I'm gonna hafta give that rubber band trick a go myself.
My fluid head tripod don't act too fluidy. Bollocks!

Thanks for the reply. Yeah I wish we had some sort of stabilizer for a lot of the movement shots. That rubber band trick was pretty cool, I'll have to try it sometime.

The best thing we could do for the long tracking shots down and along the street was to use a cheap car pod and use the car.

Yeah I wish we had a little drama in it, but this was more of an exercise than anything else, hence the simple story line.

I liked it. Good angles, good edits. I couldn't tell if it was all live sound or not, but you could probably stand to clean up the audio a bit. Maybe some foley. I liked the end too.

Good job!
