    Compatibility?

Thanks, I understand it a bit more now. I was browsing around their site now and thought about this combination? http://www.manfrotto.co.uk/video-tripod-telescopic-twin-mvt502am http://www.manfrotto.co.uk/pro-fluid-video-mini-head I take it these would go together fine and with the K5 slider?

    Compatibility?

Hi, I'm hoping someone could help me out here. I'm trying to assemble a kit for a documentary I'm shooting soon. Some shots will require a dolly movement, so I've looked into various models. I've never really used a dolly before, and the Konova website is very confusing. I'm wanting to know if...

    Documentary Questions

Thanks, just looked at a site which can help reduce costs for permits/hiring locations etc around Glasgow. Definitely going to give them an e-mail when I've fully planned the project. Just wonder now if there's any local trusts that fund filming in Glasgow.

    Documentary Questions

Thanks. I guess I might look around some freelancing sites or post around here to try and find one. The only other problem I have is picking someone with the appropriate accent. Some people might have a hard time making out certain lines if the narrator is from Glasgow, if it's set for global...

    Documentary Questions

Thanks! I really don't know exactly where I'm distributing, but I was hoping worldwide to give others an insight into the city. I would green screen them but there's no way I'd be able to make it look convincing. I'm not really wanting to have them all flat and then a clip in the background.

    Documentary Questions

Hi, I'm wanting to create a documentary about my local city (Glasgow). I've been wanting to do it for a while now but only started getting the planning done recently. I am planning on getting the funding through IndieGoGo or Kickstarter, which will be used to fund the equipment, travel costs...

What's The Best Title Creator Software?

After Effects is perfect for this, and anything other related to motion graphics. It might take a little longer to make in After Effects, but it'll look great.

editing Should I learn After Effects?

It's always good to learn the basics of a program like After Effects, it might come in useful some day. There's a whole range of things you can do on it!

    Monopod Dolly Trick

Thanks :) I'll need to try that out sometime. I imagine if you bunched your tripods legs together pretty tight then you could achieve a near exact same effect if it fits into the roller blade?

    Festival or....?

Ok, thanks. So it's best to put it into a film festival then maybe see if it gets a distribution deal or pitch it? Might go down that route then.

    Festival or....?

I posted a thread on here yesterday about an upcoming documentary I'm going to be shooting sometime next year hopefully. I never actually considered what I'm going to do with it when I'm finished. I figured that I'd just send it to a festival and see where that goes? Or do you reckon I should...

Are documentaries a good starting point?

Going to face a challenge though that I haven't done before with narratives, getting the rights for things like photos etc that are crucial to it... I suppose it'll be a good learning experience.
