Thanks! I really don't know exactly where I'm distributing, but I was hoping worldwide to give others an insight into the city. I would green screen them but there's no way I'd be able to make it look convincing. I'm not really wanting to have them all flat and then a clip in the background.

Hi, I'm wanting to create a documentary about my local city (Glasgow). I've been wanting to do it for a while now but only started getting the planning done recently. I am planning on getting the funding through IndieGoGo or Kickstarter, which will be used to fund the equipment, travel costs...

After Effects is perfect for this, and anything other related to motion graphics. It might take a little longer to make in After Effects, but it'll look great.

It's always good to learn the basics of a program like After Effects, it might come in useful some day. There's a whole range of things you can do on it!

I posted a thread on here yesterday about an upcoming documentary I'm going to be shooting sometime next year hopefully. I never actually considered what I'm going to do with it when I'm finished. I figured that I'd just send it to a festival and see where that goes? Or do you reckon I should...

Going to face a challenge though that I haven't done before with narratives, getting the rights for things like photos etc that are crucial to it... I suppose it'll be a good learning experience.

For stock, yes. If you have something original then there will always be people interested in buying your stuff.
