Actually, I dissagree. Many great shorts fail on the credits as it is the least interesting item to watch or to create. I read many times that festival judges moan about this topic. Not saying here they are good, far from it, but we like to pay some attention to them, and maybe that make us...

Thanks for the comments, we are very poor in lighting knowledge, and our team is tiny and without much experience, only 2 people behind the camera... Still we are getting a bit better every time. We tried to avoid being too static, keep the pace right, and have a decent story line. We...

The credits were meant to be part of the story line to show they have been playing for a while... It was also to set the pace, else it would have been too fast initially and too slow later. Still I understand your point, we should aim for shorter intros. And the music... well we couldn't have...

Thanks for the comments, the lighting was a poor attempt with little material and no expertise. It could have been far worse, but long to go. There were more people in front of the camera than behind it, also that explains lots of problems we had with the sound. Lots of voice over.

This is our first introduction to multi-lingual drama. There are subtitles in youtube. Feedback is more than welcome, we have gone quite a way since our starts, so we want to keep improving. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y5xD5dW6e8E?hd=1

Thanks Anti-X, well we didn't really talk... although it's true that we may do a bit too much signaling on the stairs. My idea was to explain why the guy was going down, and why they couldn't really talk.

There are some nice ideas there, it's a start, and I hope you had fun with it. And I LOVE the microphone on the table, ahhhahah, made me laugh :-) See if you can do more with that camera, the focus seems to be a bit of an issue, so take that into account. Also try to write a story that fits...

After a while without having done much we got together with just a team of three people and created this little comedy short. I wanted to do it without using words but still be dynamic. On the day of the shooting we had many "loses" so we ended up with 3 people having to act, setup lights...

    Writers Doubts??

I mainly write short scripts, but I have the same feeling. I have a few unfinished, a few finished but then I think that they are crap... only a few are worth spending enough time to make them into a film. Sometimes it's worth leaving the project aside for a few days, try something else, and...

Thanks Buddy! We came up with the story in about 20 minutes. One day really need to put together a full feature but never had the courage to try. A few more shorts and we will be ready :-)

Thanks Murdock. Having different people from different places is cool but also a limitation regarding acting and diction. As well we had to always get back to the only English native for some words and expressions that were not good. Even we left a few grammar mistakes in there. We wanted to...

This film was made for the 48 hour film project in Utrecht 2010. Within 48 hours we were requested to create a "Buddy film" with the following components: - A goldfish - The line "the summer is over" - Character Kirsten Neumann, a haiku poet This was made in the Netherlands with a fully...

    Second Chance

I did a very quick read through the first 2 pages... and the last The grammar needs revision, like the last two sentences "Whoa man, fuck. I thought you weren’t gonna kill me". I guess you mean "I thought you were going to kill me?" or "I thought you gonna kill me". Also the narrator part at...

Thanks a lot! @Zensteve, yes, this is the second part of that kids movie. This time we were three people but our goal wasn't to shoot a movie but find locations. Still we figured out a couple of scenes, the amazing sheep came into the game, and with all the sheep stock I had from the day we...

This is the second part to Monkey Blindness. This film was made for fun while we were looking for locations and ideas for our next project. The plot was fully improvised (as it was the first part). The sheep came into play when we were finishing the second action from the monkey, they became a...

Free original short film scripts anyone, to use for filmmaking?

I'm also looking for scripts. I have a few ideas but currently I feel stuck on my writing. I have done several shorts and written their scripts as well. But now I want to try to focus on the direction and acting. So it would be good if at least I could reduce the effort on writing. So if anyone...

I don't have a mac :-( ... yet. Saving some money for that. Actually we did apply a colour filter on the main part (not the prison) of the scene to look a bit vintage.
