    Austere

Got an Idea for a smaller scale feature script called "Austere" it's about a man who just got out of prison assault. (somebody tried to kill him so he stabbed him) and he goes around town with his daughter, looking for a decent paying job. There is a sub plot about a series of murders and the...

What Notable American Features Do NOT Use the Three Act Structure?

Benjamin Button to me had a new story for every decade and each one had a conusion so there were three acts within each story, so there were multiple vignettes. As for no country I though it felt like two acts, after the "protagonist" dies the movie just becomes ambiguous.

People In the industry will NEVER work with

Sounds like I'd burn bridges in hollywood with this but I have set it out that if I can somehow get my dream movie made, by making good short films, these are the people I would avoid reason why. They ruin your film. Make it flop! (names removed) They recut your film into generic undeveloped...

    If a movie..

I have so many different versions of my own movie in my head it's crazy! Funny how someone mentioned gattaca. I started a gattaca-lite version once but never finished the treatment, because I was trying to fit in an important action sequence, but it ruined the flow of what I had.. I did bang...

    If a movie..

I just didn't want to make my "Raise the Britannic" movie a few years from now and get sued by the makers of the 80's film "Raise the titanic" or by the book's writer. I was going to change the title to "Britannic Raiders" or "the britannic job" or "Britannic hiest" as a backup since besides...

    Technological thrillers

Why does it seem so had to write a good tech thriller that doesn't come off as anticlimactic, or gimicky Or worse the movie gets so caught up in the machinery, and tech that the story takes a back seat. Examples, The sum of all fears, Eagle Eye, Stealth, Firewall, Tom Clancy's Net-force. I...

Found some big reasons why my feature script is not working.

I found some reasons why my feature script i discussed lots of time is not working. Number one. The love story, Not only does it fall into the cliche that ALL women who stand up and fight are lesbians, but it also makes everything forced, predictable (annoying) and gets in the way of the main...

Am I killing my own script?

Yeah the Website did some random stuff like put in "He" or the good boy. The main charachter is a girl. To be honest I'm still working out the plot and charachter details.... The third act involving raising the britannic in the first script I wrote (without a treatment) was the only good...

Short vs Feature Film - Seeking advice from my peers!

Darn, only $300.00 looks like I could get my Feature made after all if I make a good short, Fede definately deserved a shot at a film with a decent budget after that!
