I'm a big believer in dubbing, which is far more popular & respected in other countries than in the US. Netflix offers more & more movies with dubbed dialogue, and that's gotten me to watch more foreign films & series. I read screenplays (lots of 'em!), magazines, newspapers, and books. I don't want to read movies

I recently watched RRR on netflix, exceedingly silly, but glad I put subtitles on so I could read the song lyrics. The dialogue was dubbed but the songs weren't.

I don't want to travel the world

me either, I have a terrible phobia of public restrooms (paruresis) so international travel doesnt agree with me

There's a few I like: the Three Colors trilogy is great, El Mariachi is fun, and I love the two District 13 films.

The 3 Colors trilogy is great - I remember watching that for one of my first screenwriting classes.
