The china team implanted electrodes and the AI was able to figure out all the electrical signals, or something like that.
So cool! I can't wait until this becomes mainstream in the USA, what a miracle of science!!
 
Not sure if anyone is actually walking, yet, but still, yea, pretty cool. And re. Mara, (Oh where oh where?) I get the distaste for AI in the creative arts, and for the most part, share it. But I don't really lose much sleep, since the vast majority of stuff being made, now, is crap, kind of a humahn version of AI--just cobbling stuff together just because it seems to fit, and because it is similar, generically, to stuff already made. So it probably doesn't matter much where it comes from. :) But, as always, WTF do i know?

Ah, cool. Best of luck to Ms. Mara; it's so cool that some of us, here, are doing the, I'm sure, frustrating, time-consuming, rewarding, expensive, etc. work of actually making something in this business, as opposed to some of us, here, (fine: me) who are just kind of pretending to do so :).

Anyway, missing her thumbs-ups, which always gave me a warm feeling, to the point that I worry a little. (Maybe someone could build a Mara-bot, for me, that would read and respond?)
