    Happy Turkey Day

I deep-fried a turkey (well, I've stood next to a turkey as it was deep-fried) before last year's Northwestern/Michigan game. It was great. Takes about 30 minutes if memory serves me correctly. Very juicy. I recommend making french fries as well to serve with the most unhealthy cheese sauce...

    Documentary recommendations

The Thin Blue Line is probably my favorite documentary. It uses a lot of recreations, so it's a good reference if you're looking to do some of those. As far as interviewing subjects, the Up Series would be a good reference, I think. the most recent, 49 Up, is in theatres now.

    Question for alcohol drinkers...

Did a little more poking around and found this... "Cross testified that to beat stress, soldiers would take Iraqi cough syrup which "makes you feel high". He also said that soldiers took pain killers and drank Iraqi whiskey."...

    Question for alcohol drinkers...

This article refers to something called "Iraqi cough syrup." It's unclear whether its is a specific kind of cough syrup, or the practice of mixing cough syrup with whiskey (and drugs). Would be worth looking into, though. http://www.breitbart.com/news/2006/08/08/060808145640.rffmjw7d.html

    Rocky or Bond?

I think I'm more Travis Bickle, for better or worse.

    Clerks II commentary download

Interesting. I assume you can adjust the volume on your iPod (or whatever device you're using) so that you can hear both the film and the commentary at the same time.

So What's your fav ...action scene?

    1. Shoot Out Yeah, the bank escape in Heat might be #1. Also the climax of The Good, The Bad and the Ugly. 2. Car Chase You have to go with Bullitt, The French Connection and Ronin. None other really stick out for me, except Blues Brothers, but I don't really like that movie. "3. Fist...

    So you draft a script...

If you're happy with it then it's definitely time to show it to other people. Being such a short script, it may be the case that it is pretty close to being done. But if you can't see much wrong with it, there's really no reason to do another draft. I'd give it to other people and see if...

    Movie Magic PDF Converter

I believe my version of Movie Magic (4.6.4) has a function that converts scripts into the PDF format. Looked through all the options and couldn't find it (couldn't find my manual either). Anyone know how to do this?

    Need a collection agency

I wouldn't let the fact that they are a law firm intimidate you (in fact, they might be counting on that). If you are in the right, and you can clearly show you did a service for them that they have not paid you for (and they don't have a good reason for not paying), I don't think any legal...

    Once again, "JFK."

A Bit Of Fun... 10 degrees....

By using JFK, i think half the American population can be connected to Kevin Bacon (especially since you can connect to Animal House using Donald Sutherland).

What Makes A good.... Action film?

"Remember when I said I'd kill you last? I lied." Nothing poor about that!

A Bit Of Fun... 10 degrees....

I was an extra in "Sixteen Candles" which starred Paul Dooley. Paul Dooley starred in "Breaking Away" with Dennis Quaid. Dennis Quaid starred as Doc Holliday in "Wyatt Earp," who was played by Kevin Costner. Kevin Costner starred in "JFK" with Kevin Bacon.
