Got to record a really unique song for a friend who received a grant to compose an original music piece. 3 cam operators, 5dii, 5diii, t3i, 2xGoPro, ~12 takes, no chance to hear or see the song played beforehand, shot in Minneapolis, shoestring budget, all camera motion is from DIY gear(!)...

have used FCP7 extensively, Premiere CS6 is an upgrade. I've just downloaded X and am using it for the first time, seems pretty powerful so far, though a bit of a change aesthetically. We'll see how I like it as I go on. Really do like Premiere the most... Though I can't say I've ever messed...

Have you used both, Iron? How do they compare? I have neither, but have heard Metabones is worth it once you adjust to using it and gauging your light (from a BMPCC user, those seem quite difficult to meter in the first place, so maybe he was just in a tougher spot, I dunno, I'm not a user...

yup. a7s looks awesome in low light (real time northern lights i mean come ON: https://vimeo.com/109709953). c100/300/500 also have a very pretty grain (shot a scene by moonlight alone on the 300 awhile back, something like ISO20k but damn it was pretty-wish i had link, still in post)

try the deinterlace effect before exporting, i haven't used fcp7 in awhile (it's on my other computer), but normally that solves my issues

no worries man this is the stuff this forum is for! and hell, i'd say with the 6d and the bmpcc, you could even offer those as daily rentals at competitive rates to local rental houses. might not be a huge profit builder, but you'll be more affordable than cinequipt (or your local equivalent)...
