    Pre-T3i for Post-prod.

Hey Guys, I have a question for some of you. As you know, the T3i has a whole bunch of settings to use and that you can adjust. What I want to know, from people who have the experience in this, is; Do you guys perfer to mess around with the settings adjustments(i.e. Choosing landscape, then...

    Audio assistance!

I want to know what the best set up, from personal preferences, would be for recording a person speak in front of a group of people. I.E. A speaker in front of a group of 15-30 people. I would have two cameras, lighting and editing is not the situation, but the audio is. I don't want the...

Sorry, I am using the t3i.

    Canon L lens.

Now what makes it a decent lens' compared to a "luxury" lens. I only see them online/ebay for 900$ plus. For 300$ more, I can get the 24-70 2.8 & 50 f/1.4 and a bunch of filters. Would the 17-55 really be that worth it. Or maybe a future lens to get ahold of?

    Canon L lens.

Ok all so I have the opportunity to be able to snatch up a canon L lens. Now its time to decide which exact one I want. Looking into: 24-70 f/2.8(most$) 24-205 f/4 (2ndmost$) 28-70 f/2.8(3rd$) 17-40 f/4 (cheapest) 50 f/1.4 I have been doing a ton of research online, but just to add to the...

Canon Lens? Which one to buy?

Thanks a bunch for all the answers. Definitely a lot of reading up and searching I must do. I have heard the 50mm f/1.4 is a quality little bugger. I can pick one up from a friend for a fairly good price as he no longer does film, got lucky with that one. And to answer questions, I am using a...

Canon Lens? Which one to buy?

So I want to upgrade from my kit lens 18-55, to an all-around lens that I can use as of temporary till I can afford another lens. I am on a budget of 300$ so I can't buy anything "new" but I would like to grab something off of ebay or amazon relatively cheap. I am looking to buy a lens that can...

I see. Yeah I didn't notice too much of a difference when I color grade it then replay it back in original color. Maybe next short, if the original footage looks good, I won't give it a little color to see how well it performs on the noise. The hookah video, looked better on the imovie before I...

Yeah it is color grading towards the blue on the color circle on imovie, just a tad. The raw footage can be all sorts of different looks, depending on how you adjust your settings(i.e. auto, shade, daylight, portrait, landscape, faithful) I would just say learn those as I am still.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AVgM4crVF7A&hd=1 This one's a little better and it was inside with some household lamps. Maybe I need to relax on the color grading. That would effect my video's noise a lot?

The first one is a little color adjusted, but the second ones from the t3i settings with a little saturation. Still trying to figure out what looks good and doesn't. And it does exist in the original footage. What am I doing wrong? I see shorts from t3is that look absolutely gorgeous in 720...

That's is some good information to know, thanks man. And fyi, I was just using the kit lens. Saving up for a wider lense, tele, and just some editing software. Small steps, but I hope to get there. This is a fun hobby I have always leaned towards, was just never able to actually afford all...
