  • Getting drunk and dressing like sluts isn't a big deal? That's all halloween is over here, too, you know. How you been lately?
This is late? Usually, I'm figuring it out on Halloween? I thought I'd be clever and be a bedbug or a Chilean miner, but it turns out tons of people are already doing that, so nevermind.
Uhh, what? I can't read, through all this smoke. Just kidding -- I'd say I partake less than 10 times a year, mostly just for sci-fi movies. I highly recommend it for that purpose.

    I'm surprised you're surprised.
The 5th amendment says that you do not have to answer a question, if the answer is self-incriminating.

    Drugs are bad, m'kay?
Seriously? 4:20? Is that just an American thing? I'm talkin about the ganj. Sensi. Chronic. Wacky Tobaccy.
I'll bet. I can't imagine how I'd react to see tapes from my young twenties. Kinda glad none of my friends had a camera, back then -- no incriminating evidence!
Badass. I've got some thoughts to share on what I think you should work on first, but I'm feeling lazy, plus I've probably already mentioned it. Or have I?
hey, I loved your story about Kady. If you want i'll give you some of my feedback on it through a PM.
    keep up the good work!!!!

Oh, damn, it's a feature? Kick ass! I don't think a little longer than 98 is too long, especially since you're gonna shoot it yourself. And I don't think you need to be a stickler for the page-per-minute rule. I think it differs from director to director, especially if you're directing your own writing. Needless to say, this feature should not be your first movie. While working on shorts, you'll get a better feeling of how long it will be.

    Cheers!
Awesome! How long do you plan to make it? And is this something you plan to shoot yourself?

I'm about to head back to work, then I've got 4 days off in a row for an editing marathon.
Whatchoo talkin bout? I had to run, earlier, to get to an all-employee staff-meeting. Sorry you're having a shitty day. Hope it's getting better.
Jean-Luc Godard is one of the founders of the "French New Wave" which began in the sixties. He also wrote for the legendary French film magazine "Cahiers Du Cinema". He changed filmmaking forever by breaking every rule he could. He incorporated jump cuts, shaky handheld cameras, and he also broke the 4th rule (looking into the camera and speaking to the audience in "Pierrot Le Fou") in his work.

His work is filled with razor sharp dialogue. Some of the best dialogue ever written.....

If you want to become familiar with him, I suggest checking out "Band of Outsiders" first. After that, "Breathless". If you like that you can check out his other hits, like "Contempt", and Pierrot Le Fou (hated that movie, it was too artsy for me.)
but I urge you to put both "Breathless" and "Band of Outsiders" on your netflix queue lineup!
