rayw I agree with you about Black death. It was almost like a medieval version of the Wicker man but had none of the charm of that film, the original I mean. Despite having some great actors it didn't work out that well.

Empire is my favourite, I loved the taun taun in that and anything with lots of snow and ice in is fine by me. I wasn't so keen on Yoda though as I have never liked muppet type creatures, dont get me started on the Ewoks , arrrggghhh

I felt I was transported right back to 1886 ;-) Very funny. I prefer your horror shorts though. One of my first super 8 films was a spaghetti western, complete with child actors with painted on moustaches.

Interesting ideas Zen Steve, especially number 3 as you say. Although I don't bother with facebook much I certainly would use it to vote to see really good movies that, under normal circumstances, would no longer be shown. Love to see Blade Runner again on the big screen.

My daughter, 13, is like that, she says she hates black and white films and groans if I put one on. That said, she did sit with me a couple of years ago and watched `Whatever happened to baby Jane` and `12 angry men` and thought they were very good.
When I grew up and started to watch movies on tv a lot, in the 70`s there were only 3 channels available and movies were shown regularly, especially on a Sunday afternoon. These were all movies made many years earlier. New movies were not shown on tv for several years after their cinema...
