I know.... I would say 2001: A Space Odyssey without a doubt. I have never seen a movie to surpass it.

I just now thought of the idea. But I am going to make a space opera. The only detail I have decided for the movie is the face that it will revolve around a large artifact in space slowly making it's way to a colony.

I say that the reason it come across as amateur isn't in the fact that the premise is too far fetched it just has really poor direction and that ugly blue-tinted color.
