filmmaker looking for people to work with

I'm a filmmaker and musician. I moved to Virginia not too long ago and am now looking to find all sorts of filmmakers who would liek to work together, as well as anyone who would like to act in some films. I live in southwest Virginia. I am looking for people in the Bath County/Lexington/Staunton area and everywhere around there who may be interested. I have several scripts made and some I am working on and some experience in super 8 film. I am interested in making most kind of films, but I am mainly interested in horror, dramas, and thrillers. I have lots of equipment including film cameras, lights, and editing software. I will also be buying a dv camera soon. I am very dedicated to filmmaking and music and have lots of free time. Anyone who may be interested please email me at emarchetti@snet.net

You can visit our web site at http://acrossthecanvas.com and if you think you might have an interest you can e-mail us at casting@acrossthecanvas.com We interview talents from in front of the cameras films makers and musicians in Gregg Hawks studio Video Works of North Carolina you may want to check with him also to see if can help.

Thank You

Well, since this seems to be a thread about filmmakers hooking up in VA, I'd like to say that I enjoy working on other people's projects (don't mind being a PA), and if anybody would like to work on any of my future projects, I can say that we ALWAYS have fun. My productions are based out of RVA, the official new Austin of the South! PM or FB me. :D

Did you all notice that EDM17 posted this almost six years
ago and hasn’t been back? Even skibbet responded to him
a year after his post - five years ago.

It would be interesting to know what he’s been doing during
the last six years. I wonder if he and skibbet ever emailed each
other.

Toby4film and Cracker Funk; you should send him an email.

:)

Yes, I noticed that. But Toby4Film seems to be close to me, and I'll take any opportunity to invite potential collaborators in my area (including those who might be reading but not necessarily posting in this thread).

Hey guys, I'm alive! :)

Thanks for the replies. I'm always looking to meet other local filmmakers. Feel free pm me or contact me through the links on my profile. I'm around Bath, Rockbridge and Augusta counties. Not in Richmond very often unfortunately, but I do make it to Charlottesville sometimes, which can maybe serve as a halfway point.

How cool! Rare that someone stops posting and then returns six
years later.

So what have you been up to since your post in 2006? How is
your “Darkland” series progressing? I noticed you removed
episode 2 from YouTube and your Vimeo account is private. Have
you made any more episodes?

I've "visited" here many times over those past few years, but I never noticed anyone had replied to the thread! It was surprising to see. Anyway, my Vimeo page shouldn't be set to private. Were you able to see any of my videos? The Darkland film was re-edited but since I was never really happy with, I decided to take it down when some other video to replace it with. I have a few scripts for the series but it's been very hard to find people near my area to work with. I've essentially been a one man crew all these years. The closest active film community is in Charlottesville, which is still 90 minutes from me. Moving would be ideal, but not really possible at the moment. But we'll see what the future brings. :)
