Filming under water

Hey so I was watching Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire last night and I thought of something. How do they film under water? In some movies theres actors that are under water for a long time by just holding there breath. Can anyone tell me how they do use?

either on a studio, in a water tank (like an aquarium) with the camera positioned outside in safety,

or

they use a camera that is capable of shooting underwater. Cast Away used this.

They will use an underwater housing for the camera:

Sure,

The actors hold their breath. The takes are very short, there are safety
divers nearby and editing makes it seem they are under water longer.

I don't know if you have the DVD, but there are some great behind the scenes footage of the underwater filming.
