A few months ago i started with a Super 8 project.
After a long period of research and camera hunting i ended up with a Minolta XL 440 sound.
Wich was not compatible with the koda ektachrome 100D.
After some google-ing i came up with this site: http://www.super8camera.com/cameras.php
It shows all the camera's wich can still be used today with the ektachrome 100D.
The first camera i bought was a Canon 514. Wich at first hand seemed to work just fine.
But when i started the actual shooting the tape got stuck from time to time. During the shoot i also noticed that the camera recording speed was slowing down from time to time. First i thought that was the way to auto light balence the tape. But when reviewing the images it just slowed down, increasing the play speed.
Because i knew the camera was getting stuck from time to time i decided to buy another camera. This time i found the Canon 814XL. This camera was perfect! I didnt had to sync the recording speed with the sound.
In the next video you see both shots from the 514 and the 814. The shots made with the 814 can be recognised by the bar at the top of the film.

The telecine was a bit rough. As you can see in the movie i had some problems with the correct frame rate. My cam shoots at 30fps (not adjustable) and the projector at 18fps. I have to try some new techniques to digitalise the images.
