To keep things interesting let's take Sundance out of the running. Which film festival would you most like to go to for your US premier, and why?

Lots of things may come into play:

-caliber of selected films
-amount of press/exposure
-esteem
-geographic location
-festival staff
-accommodations
-awards
-catchy name?

Slamdance or SXSW would be cool. As a European, those and Sundance are the ones I would consider flying to on my own dime.

Tribeca. I live in the area, and it's honestly where I think my movies would fit best. Toronto would be a close second.

Since I'm in Canada I'm going to go outside the US for starters and say the excellent Toronto Film Festival which has a great reputation.

For the US: South By Southwest or Tribeca.

The odds for a feature at slamdance are as bad if not worse then sundance

They have like only 7 to 10 spots. That's it.

We just screened at the SENE Film Fest in Providence RI which was a lot of fun. Then we're down in New Jersey for another one. Just doing what we can to promote the band and video.

thanks Josh! Really hoping to get another one finished in the coming months. While it's good to get work out there, it's just as important to create new work. But you gotta make hay while the sun shines.

I'll definitely report back with details worth sharing. So far I have a lot of homework to do with all the required materials... and I'm OK with that! Were we still living back in Ventura, I'd be able to easily attend. Now that we're here in Boston I'm not sure I can swing the travel expenses. Although I do have a lot of friends I can stay with in the L.A. area. Hmmm.... :rolleyes:
