I'd like to know if I got managed to make everybodys' motives apparent, such as why Alex, who is sitting on the couch, is killed.

For the most part though it's meant for not much more than a laugh or two.

It was funny but to answer your questions: I didn't know the motives of the killing and why Alex was killed and didn't know he was killed only he was no longer on the couch.

As long as the puppy was okay.
