would it be a Cliche to say im a newbie here?

hi i am sure you all are tired of hearing that i am a new person needing some advice on how to start my movie project. i have little money and in high school. i have a script written that i want to get made and all of my friends like the idea and the writing. i really want to get this done and i don't know how to get this funded or even off the writing stage. could anyone help? i would appreciate it!

Simple. Don't worry about funding. Three steps:

1. Write out your idea in a script(ish) form.
2. Find someone with a video camera interested in filming for you.
3. Do it.

From there you'll glean a million bits of knowledge that will aid your next project. Lather, rinse, repeat...

Other advice: keep it short, keep it simple, go nuts. Also, read as much as you can about this kind of stuff (suggestion: search this forum)

When you're in high school, focus on LEARNING and DOING (while you can).

Trust me, there will be someone around that will want to film your script if its good enough. You need to find them, there may be someone at your school, maybe somewhere else in KC, but there is a filmmaking scene there for sure.
