Worth the hastle

Hey guys, I came across this company on ebay. Just wanted your opinions. Do you think it's worth buying oen of these or would it just turn out to be a waste of money/too much hastle?

You'd want to get one sized suitably for your camera. If you have a DSLR, that first link is waaaay overkill. You can get a lighter (and cheaper) version of that.

For the second, no idea.

I think you could also buy a more famous and maybe cheaper steadicam than that. Always look for reviews and tests before buying gears...

well im going to be renting a Sony NX-5 over the summer to shoot and i thought the first one may help out. I looked at renting the merlin vest but they wanted over £800 for a 60 day shoot and with stabilizer it brings my budget down quite a bit.

Might not be what you're looking for but a guy at uni was using this shoulder rig with a Sony F3 + big heavy primes:
