Hello! I have a question about wide angle converter lenses on Super-8 cameras that I’m pretty sure hasn’t yet been answered…. Say you wanted to achieve a focal length of about 3mm, would it be best to start at 8mm (with a Nizo 481 macro for example) and add a 0.3x converter, OR start at 6mm (with a Bauer C900 XLM or similar) and add a 0.5x converter? My guess is that the latter would achieve sharper results, as you’re using more of the lens to achieve the wide angle, rather than relying more on the converter. What I’m hoping to hear is that it won’t make much difference, as I already have a 481 macro! However I’m about to undertake a project involving 3 more identical cameras and converters attached, so I’d like to make sure I’m getting a decent level of sharpness first before I invest in more cameras… Any thoughts would be hugely appreciated!
