Where to buy?

hey im looking to by the sony vx2000, and im looking around 1300-1400.
how do you know what sites are reliable and what arn't scams?
and whats actually true on ebay?

You can't get more reliable than B&H Photo.

EVSonline is also good. As is Birns and Sawyer. But you can't go wrong with B&H Photo.

Oh, you want it USED. I'd have to go with eBay or Craigslist. Obviously anything used is going to be riskier, but I've had luck with both of these without any issues.
