Where should FADE IN be placed?

I've read on some websites that it shoud be placed to the left side of the page, but now, when reading an excerpt from a screenwriting book(a free preview on a website) it says you should place it on the right side. Which of these versions is correct?

I use Movie Magic and it places it on the left side.

Just to confuse the matter even more, I use Adobe Story and it places it on the right side.

A couple of writers that I know, and who you can trust 100% with such matters, place it left.
