Been out of the loop almost a year. Looking for a new audio recorder after I ditch my H4n for the pre-amps on the FS700. I also have a Zoom H1 recorder for my Rode stereo pro mic when not using the FS700 camera.
Now looking for a new audio recorder (zoom or other brand) which can take 4 XLR inputs, and it would be nice if it could line output XLR as well so I could record to the camera as a reference track.
Most of my mics are XLR, Rode NGT2 and Sennheiser Lavs are by far the most expensive mics I own. I'm hoping to get more Lavs. For what I'm shooting lav mixing actors is ideal over boom.
Budget: $1000 USD + tax ($1500 CAD all in).
