cinematography What Thread Size Goes On Top of 77mm?

Hey Guys,

For the life of me I can't find this answer on my product or on Google.

I have a Lighcraft Workshop fader ND, the filter thread is 77mm. I want to stack a polarizer on top of that, would that filter need to be one size up at 82mm?

What is fader ND? If it is 2 circ pol than stacking another one will kill the effect afaic

baoliun is correct about adding another polarizer - a fader ND is made of two stacked polarizers, adding a third will create some unexpected results.

As for the filter size though you're correct - 82mm is the front thread size on a 77mm FaderND.
