What festival/contest should we enter..?

I am now working on my second bigger film (my first FULL feature, this meaning that it will land on about 80-90 minutes).. I've been making films for a long time, but I'm not very good at it, so they tend to get better and better for each film I make.. However, now I've reached a point where my films are actually starting to look pretty good.. Too good to just screen once and throw on the internet to be forgotten.

However, I've never been in any film competitions or festivals, and I REALLY want to get my next film into a contest or festival.

As I said the film is a full feature (we are still working on it, it will be finished by December next year..) and it's a horror film. Not just a horror film, but it's going to be very graphic and violent. We've shot about 1/4th of the film and we're shooting with a zero budget, so it's not going to be SUPER impressive.. Just a basic amateur horror film..

So does anyone have any suggestions of festivals or contests. (Contests inside Europe would be the most ideal for us, but we're also prepared to head to the U.S..)

(And oh yes, here's a 3 minute trailer of the film as well.. It's nothing special, just some footage from the first 4-5 days of shooting..)

Any suggestions and responses will be highly appreciated!

busterberg, may I respectfully suggest you revise your pitch?

I understand the desire to lower expectations - that way if someone
doesn't like it you can say you told them it wasn't very good. If you
feel the trailer is "nothing special" I have no desire to watch it. On
the other hand, if you tell us it is SUPER amazing my expectations
are too high. When you tell me it's "Just a basic amateur horror film"
I don't want to see it.

I'll tell you what made me keep reading; "so they tend to get better
and better for each film I make". Now THAT is a filmmaker I will watch.

I must agree with directorik, don't sell yourself too short. I enjoyed your trailer and am intrigued to see what comes of your movie.

Anyhow...

The main festival is in London, the secondary fest is in Glasgow. Just looked at the entry form, they talk about entries for 2011, but that's been and gone. It does say they accept entries all year round though. Plus, there's no entry fee!
