Hi all!
Though i have some experience in short films, this will be my first time making a short documentary. We aim to stop people on the street and ask them questions. Ofcourse we will have waiver and consent forms for them. But i was thinking what about all the people you catch in the camera, that walk by as your doing the interview on the street?
We plan to post the doc online as well as submitting it into film festivals and even holding a private screening at the local theatre. So all those people who are just walking by as im interviewing, do i have to stop them all and have them sign forms? how does it work? any help would be appreciated and feel free to dumb down the answers for me. i frankly have no experience in docs and have never given them much thought abt its legalities as ive only worked on controlled sets.
Thanks in advance!
