What a good XLR preamp for mica when recording sound in camera?

Thinking of getting a FS100/700 with XLR inputs, but I'm not sure how good the pre-amp in-camera is, so I'm looking at a dedicated XLR pass through pre-amp suggestions.

For reference:
I'm coming from a GH2 with rode stereo mic pro
Also have a H4N Zoom with NTG-2 mic, but I'm thinking of ditching them for a better mic and record in camera.
Also have a H1 with lab mic for interviews etc.

It's tough finding reliable specs regarding the camera audio implementation, but it should be at least on a par with the H4n. The biggest "limitation" is that it only records 16bit, so you will have to pay more attention to levels than you would if it were 24bit.

The MM-1 and MixPre-D are both very nice mixers. If you want a better mic rather than a better mixer/pre-amp consider the Rode NTG-3 ($700).
