Want to move from FCP to windows

I currently edit w/ FCP at school but would like to be able to edit w/ my PC at home.
What I would like to know is what Windows software could offer me the same performance as Final Cut?
I can't afford or really need anything as high end as Avid... any recommendation would be great...

Adobe Premiere or Sony Vegas Video offer most of the same features.. you might be fine with Avid Express (which I believe is still free)

You can probably move from FCP to Premiere without missing a beat. The interface is VERY similar.
