Regardless of what card he uses that computer sounds like it will have serious problems 5 minutes into capturing video.
My P4 3GHZ with 1gig of DDR sounds like its gonna die 20 minutes into capturing video.
I dont mean to sound mean but if you have any money you might want to invest in a lower end modern computer. Frys Electronics has towers as low as 200 bucks with P4 and 2.6ghz and 256 DDR in them. nothing fancy but many of them have built in video cards.
