Universal Studios flash ad

...is really retarded.

When the Universal Studios flash ad shows up (usually in the footer), it loops over & over like it's skipping. It refreshes about two times per second (when visible on the monitor) and about once per second when offscreen, making audible clicking noises for each refresh.

To stop the refreshing, one can manually right-click the flash ad to uncheck the PLAY option.

I'm not sure if the ad ID number is in this, but here's the relevant part from a View Source.

Code:
<noscript><a href='http://www.attracttraffic.com/adserver/www/delivery/ck.php?n=a7c6ab52&cb=INSERT_RANDOM_NUMBER_HERE' target='_blank'><img src='http://www.attracttraffic.com/adserver/www/delivery/avw.php?zoneid=23&cb=INSERT_RANDOM_NUMBER_HERE&n=a7c6ab52' border='0' alt='' /></a></noscript>

I'm using IE 8, btw, if that matters.

I'm using a cool plugin called "Click 2 Flash" to stop flash based content from killing my browser (apple, adobe, shake hands and makeup and get flash working in safari). Works like a champ and my laptop is back to usable :) I'll stay on the record saying "flash sucks!"... Which I've been saying since it was introduced in 1993ish. It's always been twitchy and processor intensive - just a bad technology from the ground up, needs a re-write... and I have been forced to develop in it... so I have seen its insides.
