Any of the other Aussies in here watch the premier of the new Underbelly series tonight? I've never watched any of the other series, but I felt, since I'm writing a somewhat similar story, it would be irresponsible of me not to watch it. I actually quite enjoyed it. I thought the costuming, props, sets etc were really well done, the acting was surprisingly good and the dialogue was natural.

Anyone else? Thoughts?
 
Yeah I caught a bit of it and really solid work as usual. They have good budgets to work with and have been working together as a team for a few years now. First one was still the best one for me. Try and hunt it down and have a look.
 
I sort of dismissed the earlier ones as being aimed at the wealthy bogans, but after watching the first episode of this series, I might have to take your advice :D

I almost wish they'd make one set in Brisbane? Have they done that I wonder...
 
No they haven't but I seem to remember a corrupt Queensland police issue in the 80's. They may do something with that one day.
Kat Stewart is really awesome in series one and worth the watch just for her performance as Roberta Williams.
