transfering sound from mp3 to sony vegas

I downloaded something that was free but cannot seem to get it onto Vegas. It is listed under downloads in MP3 format sounds but doesn't allow me to drag and drop into Vegas. I don't know how to transfer it to somewhere else so I can use it.

I am sure its very simple. I have tried right clicking it and finding someway of fooling around but nothing happens.

Any help is appriciated!

omg I just figured it out. I went back again out of pure madness and found something that read extract files which I thought meant it would extract it altogether. SO that was it.

You're better off using Sound Forge to convert the audio clips to 2 channel wav files instead of MP3s.

That way, you have the ability to do audio effects with them like add reverb and make it go from left to right channel.

Some MP3s will even have crackling sounds later if they are mixed with wav audio clips.
