The Sham Film Festival will be a celebration of mockery, spoofs and satire. Filmmakers will be able to submit their short works in categories such as fake movie trailers, infomercial/commercial spoofs, mockumentaries, fake reality TV shows and more.
In its inaugural year, the Sham Film Festival will be a unique festival where filmmakers are celebrated not only for the quality of their work, vision and their ability to hilariously mock whatever and whomever they want.
The goal of the Sham Film Festival is simple: to bring together a group of talented filmmakers (amateur, professional, student, weekender, whatever) and watch as they mock, spoof and satirize everything from reality TV shows to misleading movie trailers.
Filmmakers will be able to submit work in the following categories:
•Movie trailer
•Mockumentary (short and long)
•…in 60 seconds
•Commercial/infomercial
•PSA
•Spoof
•Reality TV show
•Training/instructional video
•Music video
Filmmakers may submit through WithoutABox or through Film Festival Life. Submissions can also be sent via mail, FedEx, UPS or messenger pigeon. The submission fee is $15 per entry.
