The Newbies Blog

" Not sure if this is the right place to post this, If it's not a 'Nudge in the right direction' would be appreciated."

So. I while ago I begun scripting my second full feature.
A short time ago I embarked on a film with no experience. (Scripting, filming, editing, sound, Special Effects or budget). It was a bet that I was foolish and accepted.

Anyhow. Against all odds I DID complete the film. It's not great by any means. Full of every kind of error you can imagine, and in every department. BUT, I did finish a full film.

Anyhow. The point of this topic.

I'm sure there are many new Film Makers out there like me. People that somehow started this monumental task and fell in love with it somewhere along the way.

There is a lot of information out there to help us potential film makers. This site alone... well, I wish I'd found it when I started..... Anyhow. With all the great info out there, most of it is not geared to people like me and assume people have some film making experience, training... or anything.

So.

I started this blog to help people like me. It is infused with my experience now (As I write my next film) and will include everything from now to the finished film. It also has my experience with my last film. What I've learned and am learning. All with a slightly comedic slant that may make our more experienced film making friends smile. So. Have a look and tell me what you think. You may end up becoming a regular reader just for the humor and memories of your first feature.

Cheers and take care.... Oh, and here's the link.
