We still have a couple months before the highly anticipated Disney+ series, “Loki,” makes its debut and to help pass the time, we rounded up a list of essential comics and graphic novels about the God of Mischief.
The titles listed give you more insight into Loki’s story arc ahead of the new show starring Tom Hiddleston, which marks the third Marvel spinoff series after “WandaVision” and “Falcon and the Winter Soldier.”
“Tom Hiddleston, I think, is doing some of his best work on that show,” Marvel Studios VP of Production & Development Nate Moore revealed to IndieWire. “It really is kind of amazing. I think of all the great stuff he’s done, but this show is going to show such different sides and really the true scope of his range. I think that show is going to surprise a lot of people.”
“Loki” will debut on the streaming platform on June 11. Not signed up for Disney+? Not to worry, the hardest part is choosing a package. The subscription costs $6.99 a month, or $69.99 a year, for ad-supported streaming. There’s also an option to bundle Disney+/Hulu/ESPN+ for $13.99 a month.
Below, find our picks for the best Loki-inspired comics and graphic novels. For more MCU content, check out our recommendations for best Marvel graphic novels, and best Marvel merchandise and collectibles.

Every anti-hero has an origin story and this one belongs to Loki. Long before he went toe-to-toe with the Avengers, Loki was a youngster desperate to prove himself. And while others expect him to be up to no good, in “Loki: Where Mischief Lies” Asgard’s resident sorceress-in-training feels a deep connection to Loki.
If you’ve heard Thor’s side of the story, it’s time to get Loki’s point of view. Loki shares the story of Asgard from his perspective. Between his resentment for his brother and an insatiable need for power, “Thor & Loki: Blood Brothers” by Rob Ridi revises a timeless tale with artwork by Esad Ribic.
Sibling rivalries, ancient myths, and epic battles, “Gods and Thunder: A Graphic Novel on Old Norse Myths” is an action-packed adventure novel perfect for younger readers. The book features four tales centered around the original Vikings of Asgard: Thor, Loki, Odin, and Baldur.
