Hey all!

The topic for my visual arts final for was experimental, and from that I came up with this premise: Experimental film premise: A chronicle of the protagonist as he experiences a world derived from the magic of film, and it's ability to show us phenomena that determines our perception of reality in a new light.

I spent some time on this, and I hope you all enjoy. If you could like/comment the video also I'd appreciate it.

Very solid film technically! it looks great!

if it's intended to be about the magic that film creates, i think it was setup really nicely, with the bookending shots of the camera lens.

If i were to pick it apart a little bit, then the middle section would probably be the weakest in my opinion. Although it's very nicely shot and the 3d work looks great, it just doesn't really demonstrate the magic of film so much as it demonstrates your technical capabilities.

the magic of film to me is achieved through telling stories and characters reacting to their surroundings, whereas in your film it seems like it's just 3d stuff happening that has no real meaning other than looking magical, which doesn't particularly provide the magic of film in my opinion.

but other than that it was a really nice looking piece! I'd lover to see more in the future!
