watch The Board < 48 Hour Film Festival Entry

Hey guys, just wanted to share this new piece called "The Board" for a 48 hour film festival. Please take a look! Our objective was to use this line " That guy's an abuser, a loser, a boozer, and a user." To prove it's not old footage, and the genre was "Hitman". Anyways we got the whole thing done in 40 hours with 8 hours to spare in case the render or upload goes wrong! Hopefully they don't notice the minor mistakes! Enjoy!

Was this the 48 hour challenge in Orlando? I passed on it, but what you presented was fantastic.

Edit: Just watched it again and two thumbs up! Two toes additionally when I'm barefoot. ;)

Seriously, seriously top stuff! Gripping story, wonderfully shot and great actors, you are becoming a bit of a hero of mine! And all in 48 hours? I salute you, sir :)
 
I thought the photography was good. I had the feeling, though, it was a collection of scenes. The dialogue and energy didn't tie them together as well as I would have liked. The scenes were complete in themselves but felt only loosely connected. The chessboard analogy was a nice touch. I have to say that it was an very good production. Great job.
 
Hmm... I'm not as sure about that as I've been about some of your other shorts.

The photography was impeccable as usual but the acting wasn't brilliant and the dialogue seemed really unnatural (perhaps those two go hand in hand). I get that with these 48 hour challenges there are limitations that we haven't heard about but I just wasn't sure that that was your best work.

Awesome football pitch location, by the way.

As I mentioned before, I was looking into the Orlando 48HFP and the rules sure made me appreciate what FC came up with under the circumstances.
 
Hey thanks guys! Of course we only had an hour to write and another to edit it so it's not going to be perfect. However I do agree with your criticisms and appreciate you sharing your thoughts. That's what these forums are all about! Thanks again for taking the time out of your busy days to watch it!
