Text Trailers?

Our production hasn't started shooting yet. Could we post a "text" trailer on our website? What our trailer "would" look like? Is this common?

EXT. STAIRS

You can go anywhere you want Mickey. You shouldn’t let this place hold you back from your dreams.

I can't say I've ever seen a trailer quite like that...

Lots of people do make smaller "teaser" trailers, though, with lots of text. Mainly taglines, and text to match the VO though. Very simple in Flash for an .swf or even a video popped out of your fave NLE.

From the look of your website, it looks like you already have stills of the cast. Grab some more stills of locations, have your design guy/gal create a series of images, write and add some teaser-quality VO or other text... and add a decent soundtrack. (Very important)

Since you're trying to capture the attention of the a/v viewer, a simple collage of images and sound will be much more effective than a partial script.
