test screening of a TV series, opinions needed

Hi guys, I'm going to be filming a 6x30 minute tv series over the next few months and I wanted you're opinions on a course of action I'm think of taking once post-prod is complete.

Once we have finished we are planning on holding 2 screenings of the first 2 episodes. one screening will be for general public, local newspaper reps etc. at the end of which we'd try and get them to fill out a quick survey in which they tell us if they would watch it if it was on tv.

the second screening we were think of trying to get reps from as many stations possible to come along and view it in the hopes that one would like what they see and pass it along to the higher ups.

Now, am I just being completely nuts here or would this hold a glimmer of hope?

As usual your wise feedback and advice is always welcome

Contact a cpl of agencies with a view of representation - if one likes it then they'll prob want some of theit talent involved and run it around town for you.

Otherwise stick to plan A and hope the general public givle good feedback/response and then go to said agents, with that research in hand - all the every best, Jim.

It doesn't work that way here in the states, but I look forward to
hearing what locals say. And I look forward to reading about your
experiences trying it.
