So for now I'm transfering my camera files to FCP with the plugin that Canon uploaded few months back, and I'm converting to codec Apple ProRes 422 (HQ), I always keep it like this even if I'm going to Apple Color and getting back into FCP, I finally export my movie as a quicktime self-contained movie with no compression and the current settings(1920x1080-24fps...etc), I always get a large file of 10GB out of a 8-9 minute short film, finally I use MPEG streamclip (H.264) to compress it, and get like an 800 to 900MB file with an excellent quality, but I want to compress it more without losing any quality, Is it possible?, 'cause I've seen movies that are about 2hrs long (720p), and the file size is about 4 to 5GB, the file is in .MKV which I haven't tried, so I just wanted to know what process do you guys work with... btw, another quick question, does anybody knows how to get great quality in all different youtube frame sizes? , 'cause I've been trying and trying and it seems just impossible-haha, I mean my videos look perfect in 720p frame size option but they don't when I change to 360p(my source file is 720p), why is that?...
