This isn't the poster for my movie Surviving Family but I love that it's the photo that Struum, the relatively new streaming service, uses for our listing. Surviving Family is on their Alice Channel, which is named for Alice Guy-Blaché, the first woman director back in the late 19th and early 20th century.
At its heart, SF is really the story of these two sisters, and I love the work that our director Laura Thies did with actors Sarah Wilson and Tara Westwood.
In addition to Struum - which DOES charge a small monthly subscription fee - the movie is available free on TubiTV, Plex, Xumo, and Hoopla, and can be rented on Amazon streaming.
