Super 8 and Festivals

Just wondering about Super 8 films and festivals. I have heard that they are really frowned upon unless it is a specific S8 format fest. Would Cannes or Sundance accept shorts in S8 or is this a near impossibility?

Festivals do not project super 8 film. All festivals accept films shot on super 8.
Even Cannes and Sundance.

You can transfer to an exhibition and/or submission format.

I'd say if you actually shot on S8 and all other things being equal, you might have a slight edge over the competition.
