Super 16mm Camera

I'm dying to start work on my short film. It's going to be a lyrical Malick-esque drama. I want to use a super 16mm camera that will look great. Does anyone know of a good, fairly cheap super 16mm camera? I don't want to rent. Thanks.

Aaton A-Minima is the best.

Many Bolex H-16 were modified to super16 - maybe the "fairly cheap"
camera you are looking for. Also look at the Bolex EL. And excellent
camera.

If you can find an AATON LTR-7 - that is a great camera.

I own a converted Eclair NPR. Highly recommended.

Thanks, that gives me a great place to start. I've heard some really good things about the Aaton, if I could get my hands on one of those, that would be my best-case-scenario.

I don't know if all S16 have crystal sync motors, if not, make sure you get that if you plan on having dialog.
