lighting "Sun lighting" and vibrant colors

I was watching Rihannas california king bed video and i really liked the lighting. It enhances the colors and especially so for the sky and water. A similar affect is in her Man down video. Does anybody know what this affect is called or how to produce it?

It looks like they laid down a thin layer of fog and then enhanced the rays of sunshine with CG post. The shots of rihanna look like they used reflectors and soft light w/fog. They had bright lights for outdoor scenes and and ehanced sky/water with CG as well. It also looks like they used a green screen for a lot of the beach shots as well. A lot of this stuff can be done in various editing programs if you have the patience.

I agree. There's some green screen involved in some shots, but the overall look of the video comes from oversaturation and other color corrections made in post.
