Suicide - HELP

Hello this is my first thread and I want your help please.
Basically I am a composer but I am directing a short film.As director I didn't study anything and I don't know many things but I love movies and as composer my aim is film-scoring.
So I have a scene that someone is suicide by rope. The difficulty is that I didn't want to show first the legs and then to slow up the camera.I want ιn one take to show the complete body hunging (without the actor dies of course )
Did anyone knows a technique or how can I do this?
Thanks

Put some sort of support vest on them. Tie the rope to the vest hang them that way. Then pull a separate rope around their neck for show.

p.s. Of course the vest goes under their sweater or whatever you have them wear.

Don't do it!!!! Wait...what's going on?

I 'm not directing right now! Of course if you have some other techniques to tell me are welcomed and I'll choose the more believable and since the film has no bughet and the more easiest thing to do!
So if you have another technique please let me know!!!
Thanks

Make sure the rope around their neck isn't actually tied to anything, is longer than the one connected to the vest and can't get caught on anything if you're showing them drop... otherwise, it'd turn from social commentary to snuff film, and no one wants that.

Guys thanks so much for your tips and the quick responding!!!

I won't show the drop. The film will end while he is still hanging.
Have you any idea in what thing I should tie up the vest rope so it can hold the actor.
I have to put something on the roof?

Can be done with skilled choreography. You're doing a tilt down, just think about that (could be reversed too). There's time to move people and things, like stools, and have him grab a pipe above when out of range... get it? Just be very careful and don't set it up to where something bad could happen. The rope needs to be a prop period.
