Suggestions for writing/finishing this plot.

Hey!

Over the years, my good friends and I have made some small time, SUPER low budget films as a hobby. We've done some local festivals and have gotten nice feedback.

We haven't filmed anything new in a few years and decided to do something new since I came across another festival near our town. But the one friend who wrote all of our ideas/plots/etc passed away and the rest of us aren't nearly as creative as he was.

Basically, the idea surrounding the plot is about 2 men (in their mid 20's) making their way to another man's house. For what reason, we don't know yet because we're trying to match everything so it flows through. Some of us suggested to just say they're going to A) Rob the place B) Have a hit on the man who lives there, or C) Is there to kidnap the man's son/relative/whatever

On their way there, they are either A) hitchhiking B) car broke down and in need of a ride. They're lucking enough that someone stops for them and offers them a ride into the town.

Once in town, they two men make their way to this house and find that no one is home at the moment. They break in, scout the place, and eventually see a family picture on a table. In the picture, is the man who just gave them a ride in town. The man who drove them is in fact, a maniac. Or some sort of violent character.

From there, we don't know how to take it. We also have additional questions like... should we know right away that the two men have malicious intentions? Or find out later when they become the victims? Because obviously power would change hands once they find out they're in the house of someone who is violent.

Basically, we're trying to find a way to relate these 3 people in some manner, where it makes sense for two men to track down this specific person and not recognize him right away. But does this man recognize the two men? Does he know he's being plotted against two guys? Or is it just some wild coincidence?

I'm starting to confuse myself, haha.

Anyway, sorry for such a crude rundown of an even more crude story. Any suggestions would be great!
